Sword RUSSELL COUNTY, Va. -- Bobby S. Sword, 62, of the Loop section went to be with Tyler Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, in the Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon. Born March 18, 1940, in Russell County, a son of the late Burley West Sword and Virgie Mae Fields Sword, he was a disabled farmer. He was a member of the Mountain View Community Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, N. Tyler Sword, on Feb. 14, 2002; a brother, Dale Kenneth Sword; and a nephew, Joseph Sword. Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Linda Dotson Sword; a son, Bobby Kevin Sword, Charlottesville; two brothers, his twin, Joe Paul Sword, and Carlson W. Sword, both of Lebanon; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Allen and Martha Combs, Cleveland, Gary Combs and Shelly Belcher and Robert and Brenda Meade, all of Lebanon; also several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, 2002, in the Mountain View Community Church with the Revs. Darrell Harmon and Brian Trent officiating. Burial will follow in the Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon. Pallbearers will be Greg Hess, Berton Combs, Allen Combs, Gary Combs, Robert Meade and Steven Dotson. Honorary pallbearers will be Burley Mullins, C.B. Williams, Robert Sword, Kyle Sword, Robert Fields, Bill Wampler, Jim Kiser, Garnett Duncan and the men of the Mountain View Community Church. The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at the church. Combs Funeral Service in Lebanon is serving the Sword family.
