Syphers LEBANON -- Burial with military rites conducted by the Patton-Crosswhite V.F.W. Post 6975 for Lt. Col. Leada Helton Syphers (Retired), will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2002, in the Mountain View Cemetery in Bristol Virginia. Those attending should meet at the cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lebanon Baptist Church, P.O. Box 55, Lebanon, VA 24266 or to the Russell County Medical Center Hospice, P.O. Box 3600, Lebanon, VA 24266. Lt. Col. Syphers (Retired), of 535 Cedar Drive, Lebanon Manor, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2002, at her home. Combs Funeral Service is serving the Helton family.
