Vencill RUSSELL COUNTY, Va. -- Kitty Hobson Vencill, 38, of the Belfast Community, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, from injuries received in an accident. Born Oct. 28, 1964, a daughter of John Charles Hobson Sr. and Janice Tignor Hobson of Lebanon, she was a lifelong resident of Russell County. She was a member of the Community Heights Baptist Church, a past president of the Belfast- Elk Garden PTA and was involved in youth sports in the county. She was a beloved wife and mother. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Steve A. Vencilll; her children, Macy Jade Vencill and Nicholas Kyle Vencill of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Mona and Wiley Cantrell, Lebanon; two brothers and sisters- in-law, John Charles and Judy Hopson, Lebanon and Scotty and Michelle Hobson, Dante; her grandmothers, Lillian Hobson, Abingdon and Hazel Ina Tignor, Lebanon; her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Patsy Vencill, Belfast; brothers and sister-in-law, Gary and Joy Vencill, Kennesaw, Ga., and Greg Vencill, Johnson City; nephews, James Hobson, Jarrod Hobson and Clay Cantrell; and nieces, Alexis Cantrell and Gracie Hobson. The funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2003, in the Community Heights Baptist Church with the Rev. Allen Jessee and the Rev. Craig Barber officiating. Burial will follow in Ketron Memorial Gardens in Lebanon. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Michael Tignor, Henry Ray, Dan Smith, Dave Smith, Greg Vencill, Gary Vencill, Brian Ratliff and Mike Duty. The family will receive friends 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2003, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Heights Baptist Church, Education Fund for Macy and Nicholas Vencill, Route 160, Steelsburg Highway, Cedar Bluff, VA 24609.
