Kitchin Jurisdictions of Courts ________________________________________________________ (1) Capt. Arthur Spicer, of the Parish of Sitterbourne, Richmond Co. was a lawyer, justice of the peace, and burgess. His will was proved in 1699, and mentions son John; Lydia, eldest daughter of his brother John Spicer, late of London, dec'd; and Elizabeth, youngest daughter of the same. Mr. Colston, Capt. John Battaile, and Mr. John Loyd appointed trustess of his dear child during his minority. Desires his son to be sent to England for his education, "and that of the Charter house I take to be the best". The "most worthy Jeffrey Jeffreys Esq. to be applyed to" in this behalf; and he requests Col . . .
