                   LA FAYETTE AT THE COLLEGE(1).
  
   At a Meeting of the Society, held 20th Oct., 1824,
   Present - Dr. J. Aug. Smith, Prt;
             Judge Semple, Prof. Law & Police;
             Dr. P. K. Rogers, Prof. Chem. & N. Phy.

   The President stated that General La Fayette had announced his intention of visiting the
College.  Whereupon it was resolved that the Faculty would receive him in the large passage,
and that the President be desired to confer on the General the Honorary degree of Doctor of
Laws.
