Born- ca. Feb. 1848 Father- James O. Wood; Mother- Ann Elizabeth
Godsey. Pat. Grandfather- Henry Wood; Pat. Grandmother- Sally Lawson.
Mat. Grandfather- John Godsey; Mat. Grandmother- Julia Jett. Married-
Lavinia Haden, daughter of Robert Gillespie Haden and Czrena Hamilton.
Children- 1- William Haden Wood; 2- Harold Edison Wood; 3- Juliette
Elizabeth Wood Parrish, who married Joseph L. Parrish Entered VMI-
March 3, 1864; remained one year; Made Honorary Graduate in 1869. Civil
War Record- Private in Co. A of the VMI Corps of Cadets who fought in
the Battle of New Market. (He was the last survivor of the New Market
Cadets and of the VMI Civil War cadets) Career- Merchant, owned and
operated the Wood Grocery Company in Bristol Tenn. Died- March 2,
1943
