My wife, Nadine Dorton Brickey, and myself, Carl E. Brickey visited this Cemetery the last week in June 1999. We spent one day mowing and weed-eating around tombstones. We also cut and mowed the driveway up the hill to the Cemetery. The best directions I can give would be from Gate City, Scott Co., VA. Take SR 71 E from Gate City, approximately 1/2 mile to SR 72 N to Ft. Blackmore, then take US 65 W to CR 604 W to Duncans Mill Community, take CR 777 N 3.4 miles. The last 2 miles can only be traveled by 4 wheel drive vehicle. This section is known as Chestnut Ridge. The following is a list of known burials and about 55 unmarked graves.
