SCOTT COUNTY, VA - CEMETERIES - Jones Cemetery --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Scott County Road #632 in Scott County, Virginia close to the Tennessee line. This cemetery is very well kept up. The fence does not encircle the original grave sites. The stones have been moved toward the road. There was a ceremony to dedicate a stone to Sgt. William Pace 1745--1815 who was a soldier directly on George Washington. He was granted 1200 acres from Washington in payment of soldiering. The Jones family have held this land since that time.
