A number of these are published in Dr. M. G. Brumbaugh's Revolutionary War Records, Vol. I. Virginia. Michael Rader's company is evidently from Page County and is found in the above collection. In regard to this company Dr. Brumbaugh recites: "This roll is not headed like the others, but is decorated with flags, drums and cannon. The name "M. Reader," written on the back of the roll folded, indicates that this company was under the command of Michael Reader, whom the records of Shenandoah show to have been Captain and Major of Militia." Reader (Rader) did not live in Page territory but probably at New Market or Timberville. He was one of the founders of the Lutheran Church at New Market. We associate the family with Rader's church at Timberville. According to John H. Gwathmey's Historical Register in the Revolution Capt. Michael Rader's company of Dunmore Militia was serving in camp near Fort Pitt, October 7, 1775 (p. &61). This roll has all the earmarks of a military company and has no tax information at all and has a full set of officers. Three names marked with a (*) do not appear in alexander Hite's list of 1783. The most of the names do appear in the tythe lists of 1783 and 1785. Luke Celley (Kelley) m. Andrew Keyser's sister and went to Ohio. The cemetery lies .1 mile East of the intersection of Road 707 and Road 694, and into private drive .1 mile on the North side of 707, and approximately 200 yards Northeast of the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Brooks Irwin Jr., father of Mrs. Irwin. The cemetery is unfenced and large Locust trees are growing in the area, and the only marker standing is a uninscribed fieldstone. Mr. Richard Tisinger, educator, with Cave Spring High School, Roanoke, Virginia, of 3712 Chaparral Drive, S.W. Roanoke, Virginia, 24018, has the Tisinger history and is a direct descendent of Peter Tisinger, down through John Tisinger, George Henry Tisinger, and Claude Tisinger. Mr. Tisinger stated that this farm was in the Tisinger family from 1800 until 1895, and about 1923, his father Claude Tisinger,, and his grandfather George Henry Tisinger erected a wooden slat fence around this cemetery. As late as 1965 when the Irwin's moved onto this farm, there were some wooden markers still standing, but Tisinger left a will in Shenandoah County, Virginia, dated 13 February, and proven on 13 March 1815. He named his wife Elizabeth, sons John, George, and Henry, daughters Magdalene, Barbara, and Catharine (Caty). His wife was a Wagner. The son JOHN TISINGER married Catharine Bowman, the daughter of David Bowman. They had a very large family of fourteen (14), as follows: Elizabeth, Henry, Joseph, John Jr., Jacob, Susanna, Rebecca, Samuel, William, George, (William and George were twins), Catharine, Reuben, Isaac, and David. Several members of this family are buried in the Zion Lutheran Church, on Road No. 707 West of Edinburg, Virginia. This cemetery was examined on 2 May 1984 by Jeanette Conner Ritenour, Fort Valley Route, Box 81, Seven Fountains, Shenandoah County, Virginia, and Doris George (Mrs. Ralph George), Route 2, Box 172A, Woodstock, Shenandoah County, Virginia, 22664.
