Jackson, Virginia on west side of Route #11 Shenandoah County Reuben Moore - Last will and testament – “this I give and it is my will that the house and both lots of land be and remain for the free use of a meeting house, school house, and burying ground forever, to be for all Christian ministers of any society to preach in.” (Will Book O, p, 68) Well kept public cemetery, surrounding the old Union Church; and as state above, a bequest in the will of Reuben Moore as recorded June 16, 1822 and dedicated forever as a public burying ground. Sacred to the memory of Charles Windsor who was born in Enfield, England and died at Mount Airy, Virginia June 30th. 1839. Aged 53 years Aaron Moore Was born Feb. 13, 1770 Died April 16th. 1843 Elizabeth Moore Consort of Aaron Moore Born April 25, 1786 Died August 13, 1854 Sacred to the memory of Elizabeth Miller Consort of Richard Miller and daughter of Solomon and Elizabeth Kingree She was born Nov. 27, 1802 She died March 27, 1825 Aged 22 yrs. 4 months “As a daughter and sister She was dutiful and kind As a wife and mother She was affectionate and tender As a Christian she was firm There remainith therefore a rest to the people of God” In memory of Frances M. Consort of John J. Allen and daughter of Reuben and Sarah Moore who was born Jan. 18, 1817 and departed this life March 30th, 1841 In Memory of Moses Walton Departed this life the 13th day of March, 1847 “My record is on high” In memory of Samuel Walton who was born Dec. 28, 1772 and departed this life July 27, 1843 Aged 70 yrs. 6 mos. & 7 days Erected to the memory of Sarah Walton consort of Samuel Walton She departed this life April 19, 1847, aged 70 yrs. 1 mo. & 6 days Aaron Moore son of Aaron and Elizabeth Born May 9th 1850 Died July 23rd, 1851 Aged 1 year 2 months 14 days In memory of Mary M.
