                    Shenandoah County




Reuben Moore  - Last will and testament –
“this I give and it is my will that the house and both lots of land be and 
remain for the free use of a meeting house, school house, and burying ground 
forever, to be for all Christian ministers of any society to preach in.” (Will 
Book O, p, 68)

Well kept public cemetery, surrounding the old Union Church; and as state above, 
a bequest in the will of  Reuben Moore as recorded June 16, 1822 and dedicated 
forever as a public burying ground.

and died at Mount Airy, Virginia
June 30th. 1839.
