Cemetery Location:  4 miles north of Jerome, Virginia, thence 1 mile right from 
                    Liberty furnace, across Creek, over private road.
                    Shenandoah County




The gravestones were made of wood (oak) and the letters were clearly and 
carefully cut into them.  They are in better shape today than lots of stone 
markers.

There are three other graves marked with plain red slate stone as they came from 
the fields.  No writing whatever upon them.

This graveyard is surrounded by a wire fence.


The children of Stephen Strawderman were:
Mary, Caroline, Leah, Susanne and George

who was born September 2, 1797
died January 9, 1873
aged 76 years, 4 months and 7 days


Stephen Strawderman
born January 17, 1802
died February 6, 1885
Aged 83 years, 1 month


Susanne Strawderman
born January 26, 1832
died March 29, 1895
Aged 63 years, 2 months and 1 day


John Strawderman
born January 16, 1843
died October 1, 1912
Aged 68 years, 5 months, 16 days
