Used as a church and school. A noted place of many gatherings; people rode horseback for many miles to gather at Copps School House. The land was given by Nicholas Doll. After the Civil War this school house was torn down and part of the material used in building the dwelling house of Israel Saum, at Saumsville. This was said to be about 1875. Valley Pike Cemetery at this same site has many old sunken graves without markers, some have a rough piece of limestone without inscription. Only two bear dates of 1855 and 1860 in this old part of the cemetery.
