Thomas Hurst Land Grant (Dunmore) Shenandoah Co., Va. ______________________ Agreable [sic] to a Warrant to me directed I have Surveyed for Thomas Hurst of Shenandoah County formerly Dunmore a Certain parcel of Waste and ungranted land Situate in Said County and bounded as followeth Beginning at a pine in or near the Grant line extending thence S 21 W 4 poles to three black oaks corner to Edward Hamstead then with his line S 27 W 170 poles to a white oak and pines his corner then N 5 W 62 poles to a pine corner to Samuel Stover then with his line N 75 W 160 poles to a pine and stooping white oak by his corner then N 3 W 110 po. to a gum on the river bank in or near the Grant line then with said Grant line N 16 E 16 poles to a black oak corner to the Grant then with Another of said lines N 47 E 150 po. to a pine at or near the grant corner then S 46 1/2 E 188 poles to the beginning cont. 283 acres of land. Fergus Cron came into Court and made oath that John Hurst is the eldest son and heir at law of Thomas Hurst deceased ordered that the same be certified. Test. John Williams C. of C.
