Roler's Admr. to Bowman & others - 1828 - Shenandoah Co., Va This indenture made this 26 day of January in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and twenty eight between George Roler Admr. of Jno. Roller decd of the one part and Jno. Bowman, Philip Brenner and Christr Funk of the other part, Witnesseth that the said George Roller for and in consideration of the sum of six dollars lawful money of the State of Virginia to him will and truly paid by the said Jno. Bowman, Philip Brenner and Christr Funk before the ensealing (G) and delivery of these presents, the receipt he doth hereby acknowledge hath granted bargained and sold and by these presents doth grant bargain and sell unto the said Jno. Bowman, Philip Brenner and Christr Funk, all that lot of ground situate in the county of Shenandoah known by the number fifteen as distinguished on a plot of sundry lots sited out at the Yellow springs by Jacob Rinker for the Testator in his life time and is bounded as follows Viz beginning at a post at the corner of Street and the publick square, thence along said Street N ________ seven poles to another post near a road thence n 80 E four poles and three links to a stake corner to lot number fourteen then with that lot S 3 & 30 W eight poles to a stake at the publick square and thence along the same N 83 W four poles to the beginning. Containing thirty square perches together with the free use of the water of said Yellow Springs and the appurtenances thereunto belonging in common with others attending those and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Jno. Bowman, Philip Brenner and Christr Funk their heirs and assignes forever and the said Geo. Roller Admr. for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators as for such Estate as the Testator held in the said lots of ground and every part and parcel thereof unto the said Jno. Bowman, Philip Brenner and Christr Funk their heirs and assignes will warrant and defend forever. In testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above mentioned. Nice (?) magistrates in the said county do hereby certify that George Roller party to the within conveyance hath duly acknowledged the same before us on the 26th day of January 1828 and desires us to certify the said acknowledgment to the Clerk of the County Court of Shenandoah in order that the said conveyance may be recorded and witness our hands and seals.
