DEED BOOK G Pages 313 thru 316 24 June 1789 (Age 34) This indenture made the twenty fourth day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine Between MICHAEL DECKER of the county of Shenandoah in the state of Virginia of the one part and PETER TEISINGER of the same county & state of the other part witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred and seventy pounds current money of Virginia to the said MICHAEL DECKER in hand paid by the said PETER TEISINGER his executors and administrators by these presents he the said MICHAEL DECKER hath granted bargained sold aliened released and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said PETER TEISINGER & his heirs and assigns one certain tract piece or parcel of land lying in the aforesaid county of Shenandoah and on the drains of Mill Creek it being the same land which was conveyed to the said MICHAEL DECKER by GEORGE HENRY LINDAMOOD & MADGALENE his wife and JOHN LINDAMUDE & MAGDALENE his wife by their deed of bargain and sale bearing date the thirtieth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight and of record in the county court of Shanandoah and is bounded as follows to wit Begining at three pines in the line of JOSEPH DENHAM about twenty four poles from a spring and extending tehnce with the old lines So 57 E two hundred and ten poles to a hicory sapling in the said DENHAM'S thence No 43 Es one hundred and twenty eight poles to two scrub white oaks and a pine corner to GEORGE HENRY LINDAMUDE thence with his lines No 75 West one hundred and nineteen poles to two white oaks & a pine near a pond then So 81 East thirteen poles to two white oaks and a hiccory then No 14 East twenty eight poles to a sasafras a white oak & a hiccory saplins by a large white oak then No 30 West eighty eight poles to two black oaks & a pine in one of the old lines and then with the same So 47 West two hundred and ten poles to the Begining containing two hundred acres be the same more or less and also one other tract or parcel of land adjoining the before mentioned and was surveyed to the said MICHAEL DECKER by HENRY BERKHEAD and ELIZABETH his wife by their deed of bargain and sale bearing date the thirty first day of July one thousand seven hundred and eighty eight and of record in the county court of Shanandoah and is bounded as followeth to wit Begining at three pines on the east side of a hill CATHERINE FOXES corner and extending thence with her line So 43 West twenty two poles to a pine her corner and corner to JOSEPH HAWKINS tehnce with HAWKINS'S line so 79 East forty poles to three pines in his line corner to GEORGE LINDAMUDE then with his line No 45 East two hundred and twenty eight poles to two pines by a valley in his line and corner to MICHAEL BURKHEADS former survey thence with the line thereof No 43 West ninety four poles to his former corner & the same course continued one hundred and thirty six poles farther to two spanish oaks in a valley thence So 57 West one hundred and sixteen poles to two black oak saplings near the top of the ridge & then So 15 East two hundred and fifty five poles to the Begining containing two hundred and seventy nine acres be the same more or less and all houses buildings orchards ways waters water courses profits commodities pesiditaments and appurtenances whatsoever to the said premises hereby granted or any part thereof and also all the estate right title interest use trust properly claim and demand whatsoever of the said MICHAEL DECKER of in and to the said premises and all deeds evidences and writings _____ or in any wise concerning the said premises To have & to hold the lands hereby conveyed and all and singular other the premises hereby bargained and sold and every part and parcel thereof with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said PETER TEISINGER or his heirs and assigns for ever to the only proper use and behoof of the said PETER TEISINGER His heirs and assigns for ever and the said MICHAEL DECKER for himself his heirs executors & administrators doth covenant promise and grant to and with the said PETER TEISINGER His heirs and assigns by these presents that the said MICHAEL DECKER now at the time of sealing and delivering of these presents is seized of a good sum perfect and indefeasible estate of inheritance in face simple of and in the premises hereby bargained & sold and that he hath good pwoer and lawfull and absolute authority to grant and convey the same to the said PETER TEISINGER in manner and form aforesaid and that the said ppremises now are and so for ever hereafter shall remain and be free and clear of and from all former and other gifts grants bargains sales dower right title of dower judgements executions titles troubles charges and incumbrances whatsoever made done committed or suffered by the said MICHAEL DECKER or any other person or persons whatsoever and that the said MICHAEL DECKER and his heirs all and singular the premises hereby bargained and sold with the appurtenances unto the said PETER TEISINGER his heirs and assigns against him the said MICHAEL DECKER and his heirs and all & every other person and persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents and Lastly that he the said MICAHEL DECKER & his heirs and all & every other person & persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and for ever defend by these presents and Lastly that he the said MICHAEL DECKER & his heirs and all & every other person & persons & this and their heirs any thing having or claiming in the premises herein before mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and sold shall and will from time to time and at all times hereafter at the reasonable request and at the proper costs and charges in the law of the said PETER TEISINGER His heirs and assigns make do and execute or cause to be made alone & executed all & every such further and other reasonable act & acts thing & things conveyeances and assurances for the further better and more perfect conveying & assuring for the premises aforesaid with their and every of their appurtenances unto the said PETER TEISINGER His heirs and assigns as by the said PETER TEISINGER His heirs or assigns or his or their council learned in the law shall be reasonably
