Wounded at the Battle of Beno???? 1780 under Col. Daniel Morgan; Gen't Johnstone brought the wounded ??/ Dennis O'Ferrel was wounded in the left foot where the ball still remains. Was recommended by Dr. George Kelly to be put on the pension list, 17th day of April 1787. I do with the advice of Council hereby certify that Dennis O'Ferrell about 46 years of age, late a private of the 11th Virginia Regiment and whose pay was at the rate of 24 pounds per annum was disabled in the service of the United States by a wound from a musket ball in the field and that he is entitled to the sum of eight pounds yearly to commence from the first day of January 1786.
