His pension claim # is S40525. He enlisted July 1, 1780 and served under Capt. Robert Duet's Co. and Col. Campbell's VA regiment. He was in the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, was taken prisoner at Camden, later released and was in the battle of Eutaw Springs. He was discharged in Jan 1782 in Salisbury NC. In 1825 he moved to Ohio.
