These electronic pages cannot be reproduced in any format for profit or other presentation. _____________________________________________________________ WILL OF PETER TISINGER (age 60) I Peter Tisinger of the County of Shenandoah and State of Virginia being of sound mind and mamory calling to mind the mortality of this body knowing that it is appointed for all men to die do this thirteenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen make and publish this my last Will and Testament in writing as followeth. 1st, it is my Will and I order that all my just debts and funeral charges be paid out of my estate. 2. I give unto my beloved wife Elizabeth one full third part of my estate both real and personal during her natural life and no longer. Also one horse beast the choice of my stock, one feather bed bedstead and furniture, one cow her choice and the cow to be well taken of by my son henry and to fair as his cows. Also the use of my house clock and stove during her natural life and no longer. 3. I give to my son John Tisinger the sum of twenty pounds to be paid to him or his heirs it being his full share of my Estate. 4th. As to my son George Tisinger he has received his full share of my Estate. 5th. I give to daughter Magdalena the part of my plantation or tract of land which I had run off for my son George said to contain two hundred and Five acres to her and her heirs and assigns forever and featherbeds bedsteads and furniture one cow one chest and spinning wheel. 6th. I give to my son Henry Tisinger all the part of my plantation or tract of land whereon I now live supposed to contain about two hundred and seventy acres together with another small tract of land behind Buck Hill said to contain about thirty acres to him his heirs and assigns forever. 7th. I give my daughter Barbara wife to William Bowman the sum of thirty pounds together with the sum of one hundred and seventy pounds which she has already received making altogether the full sum of two hundred pounds. 8th. I give to my daughter Caty, wife to David Funkhouser the sum of one hundred pounds to be paid to her in two years after my death also 2 featherbeds bedsteads and furniture one chest and one spinning wheel to her heirs forever. 9th. It is my will and I do order that if my son Henry Tisinger should depart this life without any children lawfully begotten the land which I gave him shall be sold and equally divided among my children namely Barbara, wife to William Bowman, George Magdalene and Caty, wife to David Funkhouser to share and share alike also the personal Estate I gave to my beloved wife Elizabeth after her death to be divided, in like manner, among my children namely Barbara, George, Magdalene, Henty and Caty share and share alike. Lastly I do hereby appoint my son John Tisinger to be my Executor disannulling all others heretofore by me made ratifying and confirming this and no other.
