Blevins Dulcie Mae Blevins, 90, of Green Cove, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Johnston Memorial Hospital. She was a member of the Green Cove Baptist Church and an active member of the Damascus and Green Cove Senior Citizens. Her husband, Marion Noah Blevins, one sister and one brother preceded her in death. She lived a faithful life serving her Lord, her family, and her community. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Delbert and Percilla Blevins of Green Cove and Willis and Carmen Blevins of Abingdon; two daughters and sons-in- law, Jane and Ronnie Walls and Ann and Irvin Stringer, all of Abingdon; two sisters, Ruth Graham of Lansing, N.C. and Ruby Hamm of Rural Retreat; eight grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and very special friends, Mary Ellen Walls and Blanche Clark, both of Green Cove. Funeral services were conducted Monday morning, March 14, 2005, in the Green Cove Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles E. "Jody" Blevins and Pastor Wesley Stringer officiated the ceremony. The committal services and interment followed in Green Cove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may send memorial contributions to the Hospice of Southwest Virginia, 325 Cummings St., Abingdon, Va. 24210. The family received friends Sunday evening, March 13, 2005, at Garrett Funeral Home. Garrett Funeral Home in Damascus was in charge of arrangements.
