Blevins Minnie Dolinger Blevins, 85, died Friday, March 11, 2005, in Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. She was the widow of Harley Elmer Blevins and was also preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Callie Powers Dolinger and four brothers, Basil, Howard, Robert and Wade Dolinger. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, David L. and Millie Blevins of Chilhowie; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy B. and Bob Hicks of Seven Mile Ford; three brothers, William Dolinger of South Carolina, Ike Dolinger of Chilhowie and Jerry Dolinger of Damascus; three sisters, Hazel DeBord of Bluefield, W.Va., Marcella McGrady and Ann Collins, both of Marion; three granddaughters, Jennifer B. Robinson, Melanie Hicks and Julie Hicks; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, March 13, 2005, in Williams Funeral Home Chapel in Chilhowie. The Rev. David T. St.Clair officiated the ceremony. Graveside services were conducted Monday morning, March 14, 2005, at the Grosses Creek Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2728 Colonial Ave., Suite 2, Roanoke, Va. 24015. The family received friends Sunday afternoon, March 13, 2005, at Williams Funeral Home, just prior to the funeral service. Williams Funeral Home in Chilhowie was in charge of arrangements.
