Bridgeman MARION -- Walter James Bridgeman, 82, died Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, in the Francis Marion Manor. He was born in Marion to the late Palmer and Rosie Stroupe Bridgeman and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Susie Bridgeman. He had retired from American Furniture with over 22 years of employment and had driven a taxi for the City and Diamond Cab companies. He worked with the Civilian Conservation Camps on Skyline Drive and in Marion, having been a part of the building of Hungry Mother Park. He had attended the Marion Revival Center. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Linda Bridgeman, Marion, and Jimmy and Toni Bridgeman, Sugar Grove; one brother, Charles Bridgeman, Marion; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion, is serving the Bridgeman family.
