She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Charles and Mildred Dancy; one brother, Charles Anthony Dancy; and mother-in-law, Mary (Sis) Carrico. Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Thomas Nathan Carrico; children, Valarie and Tony Russell, Vanessa and Joey Evans and Charles and Becky Dancy, all of Chilhowie and Thomas Nathan (T.J.) Carrico Jr., of the home; sisters, Carol Ganey of Danville, Rita Harris of Rich Valley, Ellen Perkins and Mary Smith (half-sister), both of Marion; grandchildren, Montana Russell, Jaylein Evans, Brandon Dancy, Kyle Dancy and Allison Dancy; father-in-law, Charles H. Carrico; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Bradley’s Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie with Pastor Gary Blackwell and Pastor Bobby Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in Middle Fork Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. The family received friends Tuesday evening, Nov. 30, 2004, at the funeral home. Bradley’s Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie is in charge of arrangements.
