He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Edward Davidson Sr. and Nellie Barker Davidson; and sister, Eleanor Faye Davidson. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Union Church of Saltville and attended Plasterco United Methodist Church. Survivors: his wife of 48 years, Lou Vivian Jones Davidson; one son, Eddie Davidson and wife Melissa, Saltville; one daughter, Vickie Davidson, Saltville; one sister, Mrs. Stuart (Nellie Gray) Olinger; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Henderson Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Allen Pruett officiating. Interment will follow at Elizabeth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews, Dicky Davenport, Gary Blevins, Jamie Jones, Jeff Hayton, David Hayton, Dell Jones and Mark Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Plasterco United Methodist Church and Mount Pleasant Union Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 7-9 p.m. Flowers will be appreciated or donations may be made to the Cancer Society. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tommy's special friends, Clarence Brown, Nelia Yontz and June Farris and to all his friends from Elmwood Drive. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home of Saltville is serving the Davidson family.
