She was born in Smyth County to the late Henry C. and Mahala Catron Hubble. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Hanshew; one son, Charles Hanshew; and six brothers, Owen, Mack, Leon, Dee, Arnold and Paul Hubble. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Bob Moseley of Georgia; one brother, Ballard Hubble of Ceres; 13 grandchildren and 27 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, at the Bradley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ruth Ann Henley officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Methodist Church Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Bradley’s Funeral Home in Marion is in charge of arrangements.
