Survivors include two nieces, Marilyn Hester of Marion and Karen Bear and husband, Billy of Rural Retreat; one nephew, Michael W. Hester of Greensboro, N. C.; one sister-in-law, BeEtta Hester of Marion; three great-nephews, Ronald, Heath and Travis Puckett; great-great-niece, Alex; several cousins including a special cousin, Lenora Pennington; and special friends, Ruth Dishner, Susan Totten, Joe Martin, and Faye Monahan. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 18, 2005, at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor James H. Bangle officiating. Burial followed in Round Hill Cemetery in Marion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marion Life Saving Crew, P.O. Box 784, Marion, Va. 24354. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com. The family received friends Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 18, 2005, until the time of the service at Seaver-Brown Chapel Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory in Marion was in charge of arrangements.
