She was born in Washington County, a daughter of the late Jacob and Alice Greer Forrester. She was a life long member of the Taylor’s Valley Church of Christ, but in recent years had faithfully attended the Blue Springs United Methodist Church on the Cedar Springs Charge. She was preceded in death by her husband, David J. Horne; a daughter, Helen Anne Corns; a granddaughter, Cecelia Corns, both of Martinsville. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Keith Denney of the Blue Springs community of Rural Retreat; a son-in-law, Howard Corns of Martinsville; a grandson and his spouse, David and Sandra Corns of Martinsville; three granddaughters and their spouses, Kristie and Mark Myers of Marion, Suzanne and Dennis Scott, and Debbie and Mike Wilkerson, all of Rural Retreat; seven great- grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Mae Hushour. The family suggests that those who prefer may make memorials to the American Cancer Society. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the Blue Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Cindy Baxter officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Lindsey Funeral Home in Rural Retreat is in charge of arrangements.
