Hudson MARION -- Jackson C. Hudson, 81, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, in Smyth County Community Hospital. He was a loyal and devoted member of Marion Baptist Church. He owned and operated Hudson Jewelers and Hudson Wholesale in Marion for many years. Mr. Hudson was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Martin Hudson. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jack Allen and Susan Hudson of Bristol Virginia; three daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Roger Fitchko and Cindy and Ed Stringer, all of Marion; and Teresa Hudson of Germantown, Md.; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Peggy Martin Owens; two nephews; and special care givers, the Bobbitt family. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at 11 a.m. at Seaver- Brown Chapel with Rev. Carlton Blankenship and Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, Va. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is serving the Hudson Family.
