She was preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Jesse and Virginia Shumate; four brothers, Cecil, Neal, Dixie and Junior Shumate. She is survived by one daughter, Donna Johnson Teaster and fiancÈ, Dale Stevenson of Rural Retreat, Va.; one sister, Ruth Poore of Bristol Tennessee; one granddaughter, Regina Cowden and husband Matt of Bristol Virginia; one grandson, Brian Teaster of Marion; four great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Evelyn Shumate of Marion, Betty and Jim Buchanan of Goldsboro, N.C., and Jeanette and Joe Smith of Marion; seven brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Dot Johnson of Ocala, Fla., Harry and Dottie Johnson of Rural Retreat, Paul and Martha Johnson of Lake Mary, Fla., Turk and Penny Johnson of Groseclose, Va., Joe and Rose Johnson, Jimmy Johnson and Ervin and Darlene Johnson, all of Marion; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 21, 2003, at 2 p.m. at Seaver- Brown Chapel with Rev. Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Lawn Mausoleum, Marion. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel or you may call at the home of her daughter, 168 Sunset View Road, Rural Retreat, Va., at any time. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is serving the Johnson Family.
