F. Keyes Funeral service for Benjamin Franklin Keyes, 86, who died at his home in Rural Retreat last Tuesday, was held in th Methodist Church Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The officiating ministers were Rev. J. C. Spurlin and Rev. G. W. Armbrister. Mr. Keyes is survived by his wife, Laura Gregory Keyes, and the following children: Mrs Sue Scott, Carven and C.B. Keyes of Portsmouth, Ohio, Fred Keyes, Columbus, Ohio, James and Edgar Keyes, Dundalk, MD., Mrs. Walter Rees, Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. Macon Clary, Emporia, Mrs. Fred Davis, Atkins, and Mrs. Earl Smith and Robert N. Keyes of Rural Retreat. Thirty-seven grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren also survive. Deceased is one daughter, Mrs. Harry Rees. Mr. and Mrs. Keyes observed their 64th wedding anniversary on August 2 this year. Iterment was in Mountain View Cemetery at Rural Retreat and was conducted by Mt. Airy Masonic Lodge No. 226, of which Mr. Keyes had been a member for 46 years. Active pallbearers were Fred Combs, B. L. Musser, Forrest C. B. Heldreth, H.h. Walters, Joe Staley, Glen R.
