Mrs. Ford was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther F. Ford; and a great-grandson, Eric Holmes. Survivors: two sons, Clint A. Ford, Saltville, and Milton L. Ford, Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Bessie Irene Tuggle, Saltville, Neura M. Havens, Saltville, and Mary K. Walton, Roanoke; one brother, Charles Roberts, Columbus; two sisters, Edna R. Roberts, Columbus, and Nannie Ford, Marion; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Ford Carter, Kingsport; 18 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2002, at Henderson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Kyle French officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Rich Valley. The family will receive friends from 7 - 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home is serving the family.
