Lester Mamie A. Lester, 92, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Brady Lester; her parents, James Garfield and Cora Hart; two brothers, Wells R. Hart and Worth Hart; and sister, Clyde Adams. She was a member of McCready Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and T.G. Gillespie of Saltville; grandson, Tommy Gillespie, Jr. of Saltville; several nieces and nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Lucille Waugaman of Salem and Evelyn Hart of Bristol. Graveside services were conducted Thursday morning, March 10, 2005, in Mount Rose Cemetery. The Rev. John Roe officiated the ceremony. The family received friends Wednesday evening, March 9, 2005, at the funeral home. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville was in charge of arrangements.
