He was an avid hunter. He worked for the Olin Corporation and was co-owner of Marshall’s Plumbing & Heating Supply until his retirement. He was a Mason at the William King Masonic Lodge #227 and was of the Protestant faith. He was born July 12, 1925, to the late David W. and Allie Mae Marshall. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Dorothy W. Marshall; one daughter, Jane M. Starr of Hampton; one son, Leroy Marshall Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., one sister Patsy M. Jones of Saltville; one brother William C. (Pidney) Marshall of Saltville; two grandchildren Mike and Jennifer Starr; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, at Mount Rose Cemetery in Glade Spring with the Rev. David Mumpower officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery or at the home at anytime. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home of Saltville is in charge of arrangements.
