Mr. Moser was born on Nov. 20, 1915, in Washington County. He had lived the earlier part of his life in Damascus and was a resident of Smyth County. Mr. Moser was of the Baptist faith and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in World War II. He was employed and retired from Brunswick Corp. in Marion with 30 years of service. Mr. Moser was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and a special friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lula Mae Rollins; his first wife, Margaret Elizabeth Moser; and one stepson, Garland W. Thomas. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Eva Barlow Moser; two daughters and one son-in-law, Charlotte and Dennis Harris, Seven Mile Ford, Va., and Rita Boothe, Barren Springs, Va.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Barbara Moser, Seven Mile Ford, Va., John and Joyce Moser, Kingsport and Ted and Jane Moser, Rolla, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Melba Sue Mathena, Pulaski, Va.; two sisters, Irema Anderson, Bristol Virginia and Libby Rollins, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Kim and Anthony Harris, Jeff Poole, Heather Coulthard, Nolan Moser, Teddy Hall and Steve, Scott, Tom and John Moser; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at Bradley-Finney Funeral Chapel of Chilhowie with Rev. Joe Powers, Rev. Michael Halsey, Rev. Lloyd Sheets and Rev. Mark Totten officiating. Burial will follow in Grosses Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Chilhowie. Pallbearers will be members of the Chilhowie Fire Department. Honorary pallbearers will be Mr. Moser's grandsons, also Curtis and Eddie Pennington, James Barlow and Dennis Eller. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2002, at the funeral chapel. Flowers will be appreciated or memorial contributions may be made to the Chilhowie Fire Department, P.O.
