She was a member of Adwolfe Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Dina Hash; one brother, Bill Hash; and one sister, Ada Coomes. She is survived by her husband, Jim King of Marion; one daughter and son-in-law, Reba and John Cress of Marion; one son and daughter-in-law, Charlie and Denise King of Marion; six sisters, Brenda King of Marion, Viola Hall of Sugar Grove, Va., Joann Parks of Atkins, Va., Betty Daniels of Hillsville, Okie Fritz of Roanoke and Lida Parks of Churchville, Md.; five brothers, Leonard Hash of Marion, Dale Hash of Aberdeen, Md., Rick Hash of Havre de Grace, Md., Letcher Hash of Georgia, and Max Hash of Lakeland, Fla.; three grandchildren, Megan and Logan Cress and Bailey King; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Leota Clyburn, Anna Davis and Rita McCarter. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at Adwolfe Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Surber officiating. Burial will follow in Slemp Cemetery, Sugar Grove. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Adwolfe Freewill Baptist Church. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is serving the King Family.
