Born in Marion, he was the son of the late Melvin "Buck" and Ruby Heffinger Myers and was preceded in death by two brothers, Willis "Bill" Myers and James B. "Corkey" Myers; and one sister, Charmie Myers Patrick McManamay. Survivors include his wife, Theresa Farmer Myers; four sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Kristie Myers and Jeff and Ellen Myers, all of Marion, Tony and Patty Myers of Windermere, Fla., and T.J. and Mary Ann Dillon of Fuquay-Varina, N.C.; one step-daughter, Sharron Dillon of Vernon, Conn.; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lil and Herb Eller of Chilhowie, Evelyn and Joe Porterfield and Phyllis and Dave Paugh, all of Baltimore, Md., Anna Mae and Everette Hunt of Saltville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Melvin and Wilma Myers and Howard and Charlie Myers, all of Marion; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Saturday, March 5, 2005, at 2 p.m. from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Sage officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Cemetery.
