He was born in Harve De Grace, Md., and was preceded in death by his father, George W. Pennington; uncle Frank Welch; and his grandmother Bessie Holmes. Survivors include his wife, Joan Pennington; mother, his Edith Waddell Sole of Prince Frederick, Md.; four step-children Angela Deel, Jason Akers, Ryan Paynter and Jeremy Paynter; one brother, William R. Pennington of Laurel, Md.; two sisters, Joyce Lynn Daniel of Gaithersburg, Md., and Brenda Lee Dellinger of Prince Frederick, Md.; two step-grandchildren, Cody and Katelyn Deel; special aunt, Hallie Welch; one God-son, Donnie Jones; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Monday morning, Jan. 3, 2005, from the Bradley's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Neville Mozingo and the Rev. Nouhad Melki officiating. Interment followed in Roselawn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. The family received friends Sunday evening, Jan. 2, 2005, at the funeral home. Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion was in charge of arrangements.
