She was born Dec. 27, 1919, to the late Calvin M. and Addie Reynolds Mumpower. She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Everett Matthew Puckett; a son, Bobby Lee Puckett; a sister, Mabel M. Lemmons; and a brother, Roy B. Mumpower. She attended the Old Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include one brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Kitty Mumpower of Maryville, Tenn.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy M. Taylor of Broadford and Sue and Karl Addington of Kingsport, Tenn.; one son and daughter- in-law, Edward Alvin and Scarlett Puckett of Glade Spring; two daughters and sons-in-law, Doris Ann and Jimmy Cuddy and Frances (Frankie) and Gene Malcolm, all of Bristol; nine grandchildren, David (Janice) Malcolm, Matt Puckett, Eric (Mandy) Puckett, Sandra (Eric) Joines, Lancer (Crissy) Cuddy, Christopher (Judy) Puckett, Michael Puckett, Amy Malcolm and Bradley Malcolm (Rebecca); and eight great-grandchildren, Jared Malcolm, Kimberly Puckett, Dakota Puckett, Eric Puckett II, Tyler Puckett, Ethan Puckett, Lancer Cuddy Jr. and Levi Joines. Graveside services will be held Thursday, Jan. 6, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the Rush Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with song and prayer by Elder Larry Blevins. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2005, from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Main Street chapel of Farris Funeral Service. Due to the severe illness of her son Edward, the family asks for limited visits to his home. Farris Funeral Service in Abingdon is in charge of arrangements.
