He was co-owner of Chilhowie Insurance Agency and minister of Seven Mile Ford Christian Church. He was a graduate of R.B. Worthy High School and Radford University. He was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Rolen. Survivors: his wife, Laura Lewis Rolen, Saltville; one son, Jordan Lewis Rolen, Saltville; his mother, Peggy Rolen, Saltville; two brothers and sisters- in-law: James Michael and Lisa Rolen, Chilhowie; and George Edward and Lisa Rolen, Saltville; uncle and aunt, Carl and Martha Rickman, Saltville; nephews, Jarrod and Michael Rolen; nieces, Jill Rolen Coe and Ashley Rolen; cousins, Farrah and Evan Rickman; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Carolyn Lewis; friends, Charlie, Tammy, Amanda and Emily Doane; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Sunday, March 30, 2003, at Henderson Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Williams and Rev. Jim Mullins officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Elizabeth Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Frye, Charlie Doane, Bill Lee, Paul Williams, Gordon Tuell, Terry Burgess, Jarrod Rolen, Evan Rickman, Michael Rolen, Jim Montgomery and Greg Stamper. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Seven Mile Ford Christian Church and the First Christian Church of Allison's Gap. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. just prior to the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or the Samaritan's Purse. D.R.
