Russell MARION -- Lockie C. Russell, 88, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2002, in the Smyth County Community Hospital in Marion. Mrs. Russell was born in Smyth County to the late Jake and Delia Mae Callahan and was a member of the Russell's Chapel. She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Webster Russell; and a son, Leslie Russell. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Tom Coley, Marion, and Sadie and Ron Burchett, Marion; nine sons and daughters-in-law, Sam Russell, Marion, Ray Russell, Marion, Joe and Martha Russell, Marion, Buster and Sherri Russell, Marion,Robert and Barbara Russell, Marion, Roy and Carolyn Russell, Marion, John and Janet Russell, Marion, Paul and Ann Russell, Roanoke, and Fred and Nancy Russell, Salem; one sister, Annie Overbay, Troutville; two brothers, Arnie "Zeke" Callahan, Roanoke, and John Callahan, Richmond; one special grandson, Isaac "Jr." Smith; 25 grandchildren; 34 great- grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the Bradley's Funeral Home Chapel in Marion with Rev. David Neitch and Rev. Herman Cress officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Springs Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home or any time at the residence of Sadie Burchett. Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion, is serving the Russell Family.
