Clifford Suit, 85, died Saturday, Jan. 22, 2005, in the Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. She was born in Washington County to the late Rush and Sally Shupe Blankenbeckler and was preceded in death by her first husband, Jonas Harmon Pete Russell, and her second husband, Thorton Suit. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Terry Mahome and Eleanor and Robert Leonard, all of Chilhowie; seven grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; and nine step great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 25, 2005, from the Bradley's Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie. The Rev. Lloyd Sheets and the Rev. Dennis Eller officiated the ceremony. Interment followed in the Grosses Creek Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. The family received friends Monday evening, Jan. 24, 2005, at the funeral home. Bradley's Funeral Chapel in Chilhowie was in charge of arrangements.
