Talbert Jean Ella Surber Talbert, 61, died Thursday, March 10, 2005, in Bristol Regional Medical Center in Bristol, Tenn. after a long battle with breast cancer. She was a warm, loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Survivors include her husband, C.W. Talbert of Saltville; one son, Chuck Talbert of Saltville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracie and Mike Coe and Amy and Harry "Roho" Frye, all of Saltville; one brother, Steve Surber of Saltville; two sisters, Sandra Peery of Rocks Grove and Darlene Paul of Saltville; special Aunt, Olivene "Honey Mom" Sanders of Covington; grandchildren, Kyli Lee, Lacey and Logan Frye, Tabbie, Brooke, and Justin Nunley; and several nieces, nephews and special friends. Funeral services were conducted Saturday evening, March 12, 2005, at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. John Roe officiated the ceremony. Graveside services were conducted Sunday afternoon, March 13, 2005, in Mount Rose Cemetery. The family received friends Saturday evening, March 12, 2005, just prior to the funeral service. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville was in charge of arrangements.
