He was known to many as “Fiddling” Art Taylor. He was a retired employee of General Motors Corp., a veteran of World War II and was a coal miner for over 13 years. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Martin Taylor; five sons, David Taylor of Bluefield, Roger Taylor of Euclid, Ohio, Pete Taylor of Somerset, Ky., Randy Taylor of Elyria, Ohio, and Joe Taylor of Grafton, Ohio; one daughter, Judy Koman of Waxahachie, Texas; brother, Gene Taylor of Williamsburg, Ohio; sister, Sue Edmonds of Ceres; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Neville Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Frances Marion VFW Post 4667. The family received friends Tuesday evening, Nov. 30, 2004, at the funeral home. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home of Saltville is in charge of arrangements.
