He was preceded in death by three children, Stella Diane Tolbert, Robert Dean Tolbert, Jr., and David William Tolbert. Survivors include his daughters and a son-in-law, Annette and Jimmy Frye of Broadford and Mandy Tolbert of Saltville; son and daughter-in-law, Jonah Wayne and Jill Tolbert of Marion; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Mary Ann Tolbert of Richmond; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Frances and Major Boardwine, Virginia Neese and Jo Ann Taylor, all of Saltville; sister-in-law, Mary Tolbert of Saltville; brother-in-law, Wilbur Brooks of Saltville; four grandchildren, David Leon “Dusty” Tolbert, Kristen Marie Frye, Justen Thomas Frye and Jaimen Jessie Frye; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Sunday evening, Feb. 13, 2005, at Henderson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Clarence Frye officiated the ceremony. Graveside services were conducted Monday afternoon, Feb. 14, 2005, at the Osborne Family Cemetery. The family received friends Sunday evening, Feb. 13, 2005, prior to the funeral services. D.R. Henderson Funeral Home in Saltville was in charge of arrangements.
