Jane Bolling married Richard Randolph. Jane Randolph married Anthony Walke (born January 3, 1724 - Bible). Anthony Walke married Susan Ann McClannahan. 7dwin [sic; Edwin] Walke married Sarah Sassenburg [sic; Massenburg]. Sarah Massenburg married W. Robert Blow, of Southampton. I think this is correct. The marriage of Edwin to Sarah Massenburg is in Walke records. Their daughter Sarah married Robert Blow. I never knew before that Robert was a descendant of William - whom I have never been able to trace. If you have Mr. Hathaway's books of North Carolina genealogy it might be well to see if his name occurs in early records. I looked through Vol. I., but Vol. II. was not in Congressional Library. In 1740 deed from Nottoway Indians to William Blow. 1735, from Nottoway Indians to Samuel Blow (my great-great-grandfather). Major Blow has several of these Indian deeds to Samuel and William jointly, which indicates some relationship, but what I cannot even hazard a guess. The old Blow Bible gives Samuel's children, and the first one is William, born 1738, died in infancy; Elizabeth; Henry, died young; Richard, died young; Richard, 1746-1833; (one son, 1787-1870, my grandfather); Martha (Mrs. Hines; Mary, died young; Lucy (Mrs. Birdsong; Mary. Mrs. Hines states in their old Bible that her grandmother was Martha Ruffin, but whether on father or mother's side (Martha Drew's) I do not know. The first entry in Land Book is George Blow, Surry county, 1663. He had two sons, Richard (2) and George (2). The widow Margery married Richard Smith, November 3, 1675. "Richard (2), sonne of George, dec'd, being of age, petitioned to have his estate in his hands." May 5, 1685, George (2) Blow, being of full age, appeared in court and acknowledged he had received of Rd. Smith, etc. Richard died in 1687, without children, his wife, Elizabeth, executrix; George Blow and George Branch, securities. George married Elizabeth, and died intestate. On May 7, 1700, he made "a deed of gift of a heifer to son Richard." In the meantime all the land taken up by father and these two sons can be traced by deeds into other hands in George's lifetime.
