Drewry and Drury we have no doubt were identical in England. The Drewrys, of Virginia, seemed to have been most numerous in Southampton and King William counties in earlier days. Drury Stith probably got his name through the maternal side.* DREWRY/DRURY & STITH families, "Times-Dispatch" (Richmond, VA), Nov. 8, 1908, Society Section, p. 5, col. 7 online as part of the Library of Virginia's Virginia Chronicle newspaper database, at: https://virginiachronicle.com/ *Find a Grave Mem. #106056725 gives Drury STITH I (1670-1740) as the son of John Drury STITH (1638-1694) {Mem. #192999581}.
