Bailey administrator de bonis non with the will annexed of James SCOTT dec.d} Plff } against } In Chancery Thomas Pretlow Committee of the estate of Matthew Drake ["Comtt" erased] Deft:} This cause came on this day to be heard on the bill, answer and exhibit : was docketed by consent and argued by Counsel : On Consideration whereof the Court doth adjudge, order and decree that Jesse Drewry be appointed a trustee to a deed of Trust, made and entered into between Matthew Drake, James Scott and Joseph Pretlow : it appearing to the Court that the former Trustee Joseph Pretlow has since the execution of the Said Trust deed departed this life, The Court doth further adjudge, order and decree that the new Trustee Jesse Drewry [page break] [in modern p.] 351 Shall have and exercise all the &priviledges [sic] conferred upon the former Trustee Joseph Pretlow by the aforesaid deed of Trust bearing date the 19' day of October 1829 to which the said Matthew Drake, James Scott and Joseph Pretlow were parties, and that the said Jesse Drewry Shall in all respects be Substituted for the former Trustee Joseph Pretlow : And it is further ordered and decreed that the costs of this Suit be Proportionally borne bythe Parties _ ______________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ For reasons appearing to the Court the Indentures by which Henry Artis, free boy, was bound to Matthew Drake are hereby transferred to Mariah Drake - ______________ ŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻŻ [entry end] Southampton Co., VA, Order Book 1839-1843, pp. 350-51 The Library of Virginia (LVA), Richmond, VA LVA, Southampton Co.
