All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Robert HARRIS & wife Ann to Burwell WILLIAMSON Deed of Bargain & Sale, 28 Feb 1759, proved 11 Oct 1759 [margin note] Harris to WillmSon This Indenture made this twenty Eight day of February One thousand Seven Hundred fifty & nine Between Robert Harris & Ann his of the province of North Carolina of the one part and Burwell Williamson of the other part Witnesseth that the said Robert Harris for & in Consideration of the sum of thirty pounds Current Money of Virginia to him in hand paid by the said Burwell Williamson at or before the Insealing or Delivery of these presents the Receipt Whereof the said Robert Harris & Ann his wife Doth hereby Acknowledge, Hath granted Bargain & Sold Allien Infeoffed & Confirmed & by these presents Doth grant bargain & Sell Allien Enfeoff & Confirm unto the said Burwell Williamson his heirs & Assigns forever a Certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing One Hundred & twenty five Acres more or Less Situate Lying & being in the County of Southam pton Bounded as followeth (viz) Begining at a Live oak at the head of a Small Branch a line Tree of John Harris Land along Harris's line to a red Oak a Corner Tree of Thomas Hollimans at the head of Barbecue Branch Down the said Branch to a Live oak a Corner tree of Joseph Willimans ["oak" inserted] and [page break] [p.] 290) So along the said Line to a Small Branch up the said Branch to the Begining & also all Trees Woods underwoods Commons of Pastures profits Commodities Advantages Emoluments & Hereditaments whatsoever to the said Land above mentioned or Beloning or in any wise Appurtaining or in or upon the same happining growing or ariseing & also the Revertion & Revertions Remainder and Remainders Rents & [illegible] of the said premises & every part thereof & also all the Estate Right Title Intrest Claim & Demand whatsoever of him the said Robert Harris of in or to the same premices & Every part thereof To have & to hold the all & Singular the said premses above mentioned & every part thereof with Appurtenances unto the said Burwell Williamson his heirs & Assigns to the only proper use & Behoof of him the said Burwell Williamson & his heirs forever & the said Robert Harris for himself & his heirs the said Tract or parcel of Land with the Appurtenances above mentoned & every Part thereof against him & his heirs & against all & every other person & persons whatsoever the said Burwell Williamson his heirs & assigns shall & Will warrent & forever Defend.
