   Burwell WILLIAMSON to Benjamin HARRIS [HARRISS], 
   deed of bargain & sale, 133a., 11 Mar 1779

This Indenture made this eleventh [day of March] in the Year of our Lord one 
thousand Seven hundred and Seventy nine  Between burwell William
son of the county of Southampton of the one part and Benjamin 
Harriss of the ["afore" struck] said County of the other part  witnesseth that the 
said Burwell Williamson for and in consideration of the sum 
of twenty pounds Current Money of Virginia  the receipt whereof 
the said Burwell Williamson doth acknowledge  hath granted 
Bargain Sold Aliened released and confirmed and by these presents doth 
grant Bargain Sell alien and confirm unto the said Benjamin Harriss 
and to his heirs and Assigns forever  one certain tract or parcel of Land 
lying and being in the County of Southampton  Containing by estimation 
One hundred and thirty three Acres more or less  and bounded as follows 
begining at a white Oak in the said Harriss' old line, thence by the 
said Harriss's old line south fifty five degrees East to a Live oak,  South 
Seventy four Degrees East Seventy Two pole to a dead pine  thence south 
seventy three degrees East Eighty pole to a red oak a corner of the said

said Harriss other Land  thence South Eighty Seven Degrees East Seventy poles 
to a pine  thence North thirty Seven Degrees East fifty two poles to a sweet gum 
thence North fifty Degrees West twenty eight pole to a small white oak  thence 
North twenty one Degrees West thirty two pole to a pine  Harmon Harriss 
Corner  thence North thirty four Degrees West to a spanish oak  a corner of the 
Dividing line  thence by a line of marked trees to the begining white oak  the 
above Land being part of a patient [sic] granted to Burwell Williamson the third 
day of August One thousand Seven hundred and seventy one  also all woods 
underwoods ways waters and water Courses with all profits Commodities and advan=
tages whatsoever to the sam [sic] belonging or in any wise appurtaining and also the 
reversion and reversions. remainder and remainders  rents and Services of the 
said premises and of every part and parcell thereof and also all Estate  right 
Title  Interest Claim and Demand whatsoever to him the said Burwell Williamson 
of in and to the same premises and every part thereof  To have and to hold 
all and Singular the said premises above mentioned & every part & parcel thereof with 
their appurts unto the said Benjamin Harriss his heirs & assigns to the only 
proper use & behoof of him the said Benja. Harriss his heirs and assigns forever 
and the said Burwell Williamson for himself his heirs &c. the above mentioned 
premises & every part thereof against him & his heirs & against all & every 
other person & persons whatsoever to the said Benja. Harriss his heirs & assigns 
shall & will warrant & forever defend by these presents  In Witness 
whereof the said Burwell Williamson hath hereunto set his hand, 
and affixed his seal the day & year first above written

At a court held for the county of Southampton  the 11th. day of march 
1779  This Indenture was acknowledged by the said Burwell Williamson 
party thereto and orderd to be recorded to be recorded
