Turner bought the tract from Jonas Joyner & wife Mourning, 9 Feb 1786 (DB6:475-77, q.v.). Joyner bought the tract from Barnaby Drake & wife Mary, 27 Oct 1774 (q.v.). Drake patented the tract 26 Jul 1765 (PB36:836, q.v.). This deed proves that the Wade Mountfortt who removed to Warwick Co. was the son of Thomas of Southampton Co., and not Wade's namesake uncle, who died 1804 in Isle of Wight Co. (IoW WB12:54-56, q.v.). Jesse Bracey & wife Mary conveyed this tract to John Blythe, 14 Jan 1800 (proved 17 Feb 1800).
