     Edward BOYKIN, patent, 200 acres, 25 Apr 1701 

To all &ca:  Whereas &ca:  Now know yee that I the sd: Fra: 
Nicholson Esqr: Governr: &ca: do with ye advice & Consent of ye 
Councill of state accordingly give & grant unto Edward Boykin 
two hundd: of Land on ye North side of ye Seacock swamp - 
beginning at a white Oake, standing in a branch  thence running North 
fifty three degs: west Seventy two pole to a hickory  thence North __ 
thirty degs: East one hundd: Sixty three pole to a pine  thence North __ 
Eighty degs: East one hundd: twenty nine pole to a white Oake  thence 
South ten degs: west one hundd: twenty eight pole to a white Oake __ 
thence south west one hundd: fifty four pole to a poplar standing 
in the aforesd: branch  thence up the said branch North forty degs: west 
forty pole to ye begining  the said Land being due unto the said __ 
Edward Boykin by and for the transportation of four persons 
into this Colony whose names are to be in ye records mentioned 
under this patent,  to have and to hold &ca:  to be held &ca:  Yeilding
